Conner

It is hard to imagine a happier cockatiel than Conner.

Although, seriously, Shannon’s videos of Chipper come very close.  It’s hard to compare when I haven’t seen Chipper in person, but boy can he whistle.

.

You’ll have to excuse Conner’s beak.  He was eating rice before the pictures were taken.  I was trying to get pictures for a post on cockatiel diets, but then Conner began doing adorable things!

Conner absolutely adores Jon.  You see, I don’t play the game properly, so Jon is the only one that truly plays with Conner.  I do the cuddling.  The trick is to make your move when Conner doesn’t expect it.

And then you jerk your head away, which causes Conner to twist his head.  It all happens so fast that Conner becomes a blur.

If you’re posturing is exceptional, Conner will reward you with flared tail feathers.

Can you believe that I ever make it to work when I could spend all day with Conner?

He can’t believe it either.  But he forgives me every day.

That Conner is adorable. I just love it when they bow their heads in play and flare the tail feathers. It’s cuteness in the feathery flesh!

LOL @ “Can you believe that I ever make it to work when I could spend all day with Conner?”

It’s easy to spend all day with Mordecai when I am unemployed!

What a great series of pictures. I just love tiels! My birds have been responsible for more than one late appearance at work…glad I’m not the only one!

  4. Great pictures, Elizabeth. I look forward to reading about your Utah birding adventures.

Thanks everyone! Cynthia, I was really excited to find your blog. Hyrum is a beautiful town!

  6. Great posts! I think of your blog whenever I look at my backyard and see gatherings of various birds dining at the bird feeder. Only I rarely know what kind of birds they are (other than pretty), whereas you know them all.

Keep up the good work; it’s educational and fun for us readers.
