I was doing stuff over by our shed the other day and there must be a mockingbird nest nearby - he/she was stalking me making a series of hissing and threatening sounds. The thrasher must also have a nest not far as he/she was skulking about in the leaves making odd sounds. The thrashers are particularly "invisible" the rest of the year here unless it gets really, really cold... We have mockingbirds and brown thrashers in full nesty behavior.
