I wish I could remember how quickly he adapted to the giraffe ;-) but alas. I do remember my grandmother speaking to Audrey while he was using the giraffe and she didn't understand what he was doing, which I thought was quite hilarious. Mom bought me the giraffe as a toy (I was only eight) and somehow we thought to stick it on Audrey’s cage. I wish I could remember how quickly he adapted to the giraffe ;-) but alas. It's very similar to what my 2 male cockatiels do too. Chipper, being senior, humps his beloved "Going to Bed" book. Charlie doesn't hump, nor does he approve of this behavior and often complains to Chipper, but he also doesn't dare covet Chipper's book! This is so funny!
