Trevor is adjusting quite well to the flock and them to him. At first the other cockatiels were trying to avoid Trevor by hiding in the waaay back of the cages. But as Trevor gets less spazzy, the other cockatiels are willing to hang out near him.
I love baby cockatiels. Trevor is going through all the same stages that I remember Conner going through. Right now, he flaps his wings because he’s so excited. Sometimes he flaps so hard that he takes off and he’s shocked because he’s in the air so he stops flying and lands on the floor.
He’s starting to notice the presence of people and birds. When I took Audrey and Conner for their nightly walk across the bedroom last night, Trevor called out to them. ”Where are you?” He also wanted me to pick him up last night. Before that he was either opposed to being picked up or oblivious. I can’t wait for Trevor to snuggle with me like Conner. Conner will nuzzle my face and close his eyes as if he’s in Heaven. Having two snuggly birds will be wonderful. Audrey has the excuse of being too old to cuddle.

Trevor is just darling. There is nothing like a baby cockatiel – and I know I said it before! Ah well….there you have it. Have fun with him. He’s come to the best of homes!
Thanks Shannon! I also love babies. If I could, I would have 20 baby cockatiels, all begging for food and love!
