Now that the weather is warm, we’ve been taking walks after work.  Salt Lake City makes a beautiful skyline.

Spring has exploded in the last week.

Do you know about these white flowers?  They’re beautiful, but they smell very bad.  Oh well, everything is a tradeoff.

These evening walks are great for experimenting with darker light.  Our birding expeditions are always during the day, so working with a light-hungry lens during sunset creates some nice effects.

Thanks to the previous owners of our home, we have tulips sprouting in the back yard.  Last week the red ones bloomed and this week some yellow ones are coming in.

We also have a scattering of these purple flowers.

Lastly, we seem to have some Barn Swallows in the neighborhood!!!  This nest is under the eave of some dude’s house.  I really hope that they don’t destroy the nest.  Barn Swallows are such amazing birds.  I’ve been seeing a TON of baby birds living inside people’s gutters and roofs.  All it takes is one tiny hole or even the fancy framework on a house to make a nesting area.  I’ll keep you posted.
