Trevor Conner Bird

We have a new addition to the family!  His name is Trevor Conner Bird.

Trevor was hatched in a nestbox in Holden, UT on January 29, 2010 to Clyde and Mindy.  We saw him on the first day he was hatched.

I love baby cockatiels.  I love their noises, their hunger and their quilled feathers.

Trevor is still a baby even though he is in an adult body.  At night he begs the other cockatiels for food.  They have no idea what to do with the begging.  The best part is when I bring Trevor onto the bed and he flies back to the cage.  He always lands on top of Conner!

As a result of the flying and other baby cockatiel shenanigans, the older birds were trying to avoid Trevor by hanging out waaay in the corner.  But the baby is persistent and follows them to the corner.  Hopefully they’ll all be friends soon.

We got Trevor to keep Conner company.  Since we’ve moved to Utah and Conner no longer has a mirror to look at every day, he’s been a bit lonely.  Our long hours don’t help.  So the goal is to get him to be best friends with Trevor.  This is why Trevor’s name is Trevor Conner Bird, because he’s Conner’s bird.

Again, congratulations, everyone! Trevor Connor Bird is just darling. There’s nothing like a baby cockatiel. I still have Chipper’s baby tail feathers. I’m sure, in time, Connor will warm up to his little brother.

Thanks Shannon! I kept Conner’s baby wing feathers. You know the ones that have yellow splotches for girls? I love the baby stage.
