BirdCam

I got my BirdCam and I’ve been testing it out.  So far it’s only captured pictures of House Sparrows.  They’re cute and all, but I’d be more excited by getting a crossbill in the night!  I specifically bought a camera with flash in the hopes that the exotic birds come out at night.

But sparrows are still adorable, especially the females.

The BirdCam has a bit of a lag between when it detects motion and when it takes pictures so I have a lot of pictures of nothing.  The most entertaining bit so far is how FAST the seed dwindles.

When you cycle quickly through the pictures, it’s like a jagged movie where the seed vanishes.  The sparrows are hungry!

How exciting- it takes pretty good pictures! I can’t wait to see who visits.

Me too. I’m hoping that I will at least get some goldfinches! I’ve been leaving the thistle seed out for them, but still nothing.

This is so much fun! I may have to look into one of these. I also want to set up web cams on my parrots so I can see what they do when I’m at work. I’m probably imagining much more action and fun than actually takes place!

We’ve talked for years about setting up a webcam for the cockatiels. I know they’re having fun. When I’ve been in the house and they don’t know I’m there, a lot of singing occurs.
