A few months ago I wrote about female Yellow-rumped Warblers and one with a baby.  Now I can show you the non-breeding plumage of a male Yellow-rumped Warbler.

He’s a lot more drab in this version versus his breeding plumage, but he still keeps the yellow butt.

In Pescadero, California they were going crazy for food in this tree.  I had left the hotel early to go birding so it was too dark to see the tree when I left, but when I got back there were almost as many birds in this tree at the hotel as there were on the beach where I was birding.
