Stonewall’s Plumage

My baby Stonewall is growing up.  His adult plumage is coming in and he’s getting more yellow on his face.  Here are pictures from his first week home.

Here’s his face today.  There is so much yellow coming in right above his nose.

I think it’s especially noticeable in the back.  Old baby:

And now.  His tail feathers are growing back in and instead of being pearled, they’re gray.  He still looks like a total mess back there, but I’ll probably be nostalgic for it when he gets older.

He frequently won’t let me pick him up.  I have to pick up Conner first to convince him that I’m cool enough to pick him up.  I’m hoping it’s just a “no” phase and that he’ll quickly go back to being sweet and cuddly.

Very pretty! Hard to watch your babies grow up and change.

I know, I miss him as a baby. But Stonewall is a very smart, inquisitive adult so that has a lot of perks too.

He has the sweetest, expressive face <3!

I know. The third picture down just kills me! Stonewall likes it when Jon gives him a kiss on the top of his head and will make a kissy noise right after. It will make you melt with cuteness.
