Resolutions

Do you have any New Year’s resolutions?  I have three resolutions:

1) Lose ten pounds.  I’d like to lose more than that, but ten pounds is very realistic.  A sub-heading for this resolution is to work harder at toning my arms.

 

 

2) Bike 800 miles and run over 200 miles.  Last year I biked 684 miles and ran over 135 miles (I didn’t start tracking all my runs until late in the game).

 

 

This morning I ran 4.56 miles in 50 minutes, which is pretty good considering that it’s been almost three weeks since I last ran.  As I get older I’ve discovered that I need to exercise regularly to avoid feeling exhausted.  I also get more achy and risk greater injury when I don’t workout.  It makes no sense, but I’m glad it’s true since it will keep me healthier.

 

3) Take some serious steps to improve my resume.  I’m not planning any major job changes, but I want to stay competitive.  The worst thing you can do in your career is become complacent.

    You look fantastic Liz!

    I have one goal this year, which would be bike Nobel Canyon, not as a shuttle, but do an 8 mile grind up a fire road, then a technical 40 or so minute decent from the mountains into the desert.
    Staying fit is pretty important to me… I don’t have to be Iron Man fit, but I need endurance and muscle tone.

    That sounds really intense, good luck! I was talking to this guy about mountain biking in Utah the other day and he had me seriously thinking about trying it. That would certainly help me with meeting my biking goal.

    You should try it :) ! Utah has some great biking (I reaaaalllly want to go to Moab).
