If you want to feel like you’re the only person at the edge of the world, you should go to Buffalo Point on Antelope Island.

Garr Ranch on Antelope Island has Spotted Towhees.  They found a patch of ground without snow and kicked up the ground to food underneath the leaves.

The pictures are deceptive because most of Garr Ranch looks like this.  The patch to the right is one of the areas where the towhees were foraging.

Apparently they eat berries too!

Lovely photos. I love towhees – we have the Eastern Towhee here that loves to scratch under the leaves. They are really funny to watch.

I miss California Towhees, although their constant chipping could get annoying.
